Mt. Vernon

I have been reading a book about Martha Washington which I have loved and so I knew we had to visit Mt. Vernon while we were in D.C. It was fascinating and absolutely beautiful!

Mt. Vernon has a historic protected view meaning no development is allowed so that the view looks just like it did when George Washington lived there.
