The Past Week

Here are a few pictures from the past week:

For Joy School last week they talked about their bodies. My friend Tina taught and she gave them each one of these skeletons with body parts that they put on. It was so cute. Daniel loved it. That night at dinner he started singing "Do your ears hang low...do they wobble to and fro..."

Daniel loves to dance to his "rock star music." He always calls his dance moves his "hard moves." I made him this guitar from cardboard that he uses while he dances around.

Putting the kids to work. I have some good helpers.

Dinner In the City

One of my old roomates from college was in New York for the weekend. I was able to meet her in the city for dinner - which was so fun. It's always great to catch up!

Saturday Walk in the Park

Shannon is always finding a new park or something for us to explore. He noticed this park on the map and we decided to check it out one Saturday.

Daniel taking a rest.

Eden Farms

A group from church went to Eden Farms for a hayride, pumpkin patch, hay bale maze etc. The kids had a blast.

Picking Out Pumpkins

I love the fall! We went to Stew Leonard's one Saturday to pick out pumpkins.

A Few More Random Utah Pics

I found a few more random pictures from Utah.

Happy...

Sad

Tried to get a shot with all of us in the picture. Kids were not cooperating - these were the best we could do.

Canyonlands National Park

Stopping to enjoy the view and have a snack.

We saw a horned sheep on the side of the road.

Arches National Park

We drove down to Moab, Ut for a weekend and went to Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. It was so gorgeous! I can't believe I had never been there before. I wasn't sure if Daniel would like it or if he would think it was boring but he loved being able to explore. It was a great family trip.

The Gossips: This was my one of my favorite formations. It really does look like three people standing there talking to each other.

Daniel's favorite: Sheep rock

We packed a lunch and had a picnic near Balancing Rock.

Nora enjoying raspberries.

Daniel was fascinated by the cactus. He wanted to take his picture by them.

My little hiker.

Balancing Rock

Balancing Rock: Daniel and I are standing at the base although it's kind of hard to see us.

Nora wanted to walk everywhere which was extremely difficult!

There was always a time when both children wanted to be carried. Shannon would oblige for a little while. (...Hey, I offered to carry one of them.)

The Windows

Standing under one of the Windows Arches.

Only picture I could get with all of us in it...kind of. Sorry Nora.

Heading into see the Sand Dunes. This one was really fun. After you squeeze through these rocks it opens up to a really soft sandy area. Daniel took off his shoes and played for a while.

In the Sand Dunes: We came...we conquered.

Delicate Arch: Delicate Arch is so beautiful. We didn't do the long hike to it. I'm pretty sure Daniel would have run right off a cliff so we just hiked to one of the look out points.
