Halloween

Everyone kept telling us how great our new neighborhood is at Halloween and they were right. It was so much fun. Some friends came over to go trick or treating with us and it was great.

Halloween Parade and Carving Pumpkins

They had a Halloween Parade at Daniel's school where all of the kids were able to dress up. They were all so cute.

Carving pumpkins.

Daniel's was some sort of monster. Nora's was Tinkerbell.

Trunk-Or-Treat

Because of the snow in October our usual trunk-or-treat ward activity was moved indoors. We used our car decorations for the door instead.

Gail and Lucy: Some friends from Daniel's preschool were able to come with us.

Nora was the cutest witch ever!

Snow In October

We got a random snow storm in October that knocked out our power and created quite a mess but the kids sure did have fun.

Playing in the Leaves

Telling kids they can jump in the pile of leaves if they help rake them up is great motivation. I remember having so much fun doing this when I was little.

Random

We have these three deer that visit our yard a lot. It's great. We feel like we're in a Disney forest of friendly animals. In our back yard we've seen deer, a groundhog (which lives somewhere at the back of the yard), bunny rabbits, racoons, a million squirrels, hawks, etc. The kids love it. Especially Daniel - he is facinated by animals.

Koller's Trip to CT

I was so thrilled to have my sister Emily and her family come visit in October! This was the first time their kids have been to visit so it was a big deal! I was in heaven. Part of the plan was to take their girls into the city to get American Girl Dolls as part of their early Christmas present from their mom and dad, which was so fun! I'm glad I was able to be a part of that. The rest of the time we were able to have some fun hanging out in CT. Emily's girls are the best. They loved our new place and town. They are genuinly excited about every little thing which made it so fun. They would say things like "I love how ALL the stairs creek!" and "I just love how everything is so old and cute!" and Annie says she wants to live here when she grows up! I love it. Now if only they could have stayed longer!

Daniel was so excited to have his cousins come to his house! He was especially excited for his cousins to walk him to school in the morning!

I took Lucy and went into the city with my sister and her family to show them around the city and go to the American Girl Doll store. It was such a fun day and we had the best weather! Shannon was so great to stay home with Nora and Henry and Daniel when he got home from school so I could go.

This was funny. On our way home from picking up Daniel at school we stopped in at the library b/c the kids wanted to see it. I was waiting outside with my double stroller and my sisters double stroller while they went inside. A lady walked by -seeing the 2 double strollers and said something like - whoa, it's like your mormon or something. I said...I am!.. But only one of these strollers is mine. :) She could hardly believe it.

The kids loved going to Ada's Candy Shop to each spend a dollar on penny candy.
