Beach

Last Wednesday afternoon we had a hour with nothing to do - so Daniel and I headed to the beach in Stamford to enjoy the beautiful weather. It was too cold to get in the water but Daniel had fun playing in the sand.

He loves wearing his beach sunglasses and they are great because they keep the sand out of his eyes when he throws fist fulls of sand everywhere.

He spent most of the time picking up shells and pebbles and throwing them into the water.

Look Mom!

After bath time: Look at that mouth - still some teeth missing!

After bath time: cutie pie!

"Pool" Party

Since it's still not warm enough outside, Daniel had a little "pool" party in the bathtub with his friend Abi last week. They got to try out their new swim wear and splash till their hearts content! I have a feeling he's going to love the beach this year!

Abi and Daniel enjoying some popsicles on the back porch. I use my left over smoothie mixtures (usually yogurt, orange juice, frozen blueberries, strawberries, and a banana or whatever we have) and pour it into popsicle molds. Daniel loves them.

Another Zoo

Saturday we went to Beardsley Zoo in the morning. We had a free family pass to use that an old man randomly gave us at Costco one time. It was supposed to rain later in the day so we went early and had really nice weather. We were practically the only people there which was great.

There were peacocks everywhere.

Central Park Zoo

Last Thursday was a beautiful day here! My friend Hillary and I decided to take the kids into the city and meet our husbands for lunch. Her husband and Shannon have been working on the same project for a while - so it worked out great. Before we met up with them we took the kids to the Central Park Zoo. Neither of us had been there before. It is tiny - but the kids had fun. It was really nice to see Shannon for lunch. We got Pop Burgers and ate outside. It was a great day!

Bruce Museum

We went to The Bruce Museum in Greenwich on Tuesday (free day) - to see what it was like. Daniel had a great time running around with his friends. They had a robot exhibit that was pretty neat and lots of hands on activities.

Abi and Daniel: Outside they had dinosaur statues that Daniel LOVED. He kept saying that he wanted to ride them. Luckily there was a little baby dinosaur that was just his size. (Thanks to Hillary for some of these pictures!)

Little Monkey

Look at those faces - full of amazement. :)

A Semi-Springy Day

Saturday turned out to be a pretty nice day so in between General Conference Sessions we went to a park nearby so Daniel could get some energy out.

My Sister Are Having...

Emily and Kathryn are both having BOYS!
After three girls - what a shock for Emily! Finally a Koller boy - yeah! And Kathryn couldn't be happier about having a boy. We are so excited for them both! We realized that all three of us are having firsts: Shannon and I are having our first girl, Emily and James are having their first boy, and this is Kat and Ken's first baby!

IT'S A GIRL!

We're having a GIRL!

Everything looks good and we're right on schedule for September 1st (Labor Day)! Shannon and I both assumed we were going to have another boy so I had a hard time believing the nurse when she said we were having a girl. I made her check three times to be sure! We are so excited!
