Dear Cousin

These are emails exchanged by baby cousins - Julius, Henry, and Nora. They were so funny I had to post them on my blog.

Dear Cousin Henry,

We have a serious emergency at hand. My parents made the mistake of shampooing my hair off literally! I tried to protest but they insisted. Now I hear everybody talking about how I look like an old man with hair loss problems. Even worse my dad blessed me today with my ridiculous hair and the entire ward saw my plight. That's why I'm writing you. You are the only one that can help. You have a lot of hair and I figured since we were cousins and all, that you would be willing to help. Please send hair fast! I'm in dire need.

Sincerely,

Cousin Julius
P.S. Do you have any experience with hair plugs?

-----------------

Dear Cousin Julius,

I feel very badly for you. It is true that I have a good amount of hair. However it is mostly on the back and sides. I have heard people say that I have a receding hairline and also look like an old man. So I can understand your plight. My best advice to you is the beanie cap. They come in all colors and styles. I like your Nike one with the white swish. And also - tell your parents to go easy on the scalp scrub. Baths are important, but they're not worth loosing hair over. Good Luck.

Sincerely,

Cousin Henry

Dear Cousins Julius and Henry,

It has come to my attention that you two have some anxiety about your current hairlessness. I - as your female peer and cousin wanted to write and let you know that you have have nothing to worry about. I know that some of our constituents are going to desperate measures to hang on to that newborn fuzz (see the following pictures) and appear more furry than they really are. This is nothing but a sad attempt to feel youthful again. Julius and Henry- as you age - hair loss may be a natural part of the aging process but to each of you I say - embrace the baldness! And remember - it is far better to have had hair and lost - than to have never had hair at all.

Your loving girly Cousin,

Nora

5 Weeks

Nora is 5 weeks old today! In some ways it feels like she just got here and in other ways it feels like she's been here forever. She is such a good baby. She just started smiling (although she still hasn't given us a big grin yet) and sleeps anywhere from 4-7 hour at night.

Go Fly A Kite

These are some pictures from an afternoon at the park. The weather has been gorgeous here lately. Fall is in the air!

Blessing Day

Today was Nora's blessing day. It was beautiful. I'm so glad my mom was able to be here for it. A close family friend (Juanita Dunlap) made Nora's blessing dress - which I LOVE- and my mom made the most adorable little booties for her to wear.

This is by far my favorite picture from the day! Nora sure is loved.

Nora is finally fed up with the picture taking and just wants to eat!

Hooray for Grandma!

My mom came this week to visit and help out. She entertained Daniel all week, cooked meals, cleaned etc. It was so nice. Daniel has had a hard time adjusting ever since Nora's arrival and so he loved getting so much attention from Grandma! Here are pictures from the week. Nora is 3 weeks old now!

is fascinated by sharks and so he loved this.

Daniel wanted Nora to lay with him in his big boy bed - so she did for a minute.

Grandma made Daniel oatmeal in a cute pumpkin bowl one morning. She can get him to eat anything - he won't eat oatmeal for me!
