May Fair

May Fair is a great little local fair here in New Canaan. We missed it last year so I was glad to make it this year.

Daniel knew exactly the car he wanted to drive...the orange convertible! Apparently he became a taxi driver because he picked up some strangers in the back seat. :)

Bumper cars with dad.

I think all Nora rode was the Carousel - but she liked it.

Ok - I am not a ride person! I have only ever been on one roller coaster - what I would call a rickety wood type thing on the Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, CA and that was enough for me. I hate the feeling of being out of control. I looked at that Ferris wheel at the fair and thought I could probably handle it but I don't know what I was thinking! It wasn't even that big but we were the first people on so we had to wait to load everyone else on...inching up and up and up. Daniel was not scared in the least so I tried not to act nervous but in reality the whole time I was trying to think of anyway I could get down! It was horrible. No more rides for me. Daniel loved it though.

Isn't he so cute!

Manda!

You should have asked ME about ferris wheels-- I could have told you they're not a good idea! I hate how unprotected you feel, and then to top it off, the chairs rock back and forth too easily. The worst is if you sit in one who thinks it's great fun to purposely rock it back and forth. Yeah...not so much fun.

Hey-- I miss you! We seriously need to get together. Maybe I should just fly there for a weekend or something. James can stay with Steve. Or meet halfway somewhere, and leave all our kids behind. Yes...I am liking one of these ideas. hmm....what thinkest thou?

That is so hilarious about the ferris wheel! I use to be a roller coaster lover, now it scares the crap out of me. I think it's because i now have kids. Good for you for being such an awesome mom and facing your fears!

We've missed this fair two years in a row now. Looks like a lot of fun.

Ahh! I missed it again. You'll have to remind me next year. I always want to go and then somehow forget about it!
