Eatin' Our Way Through NYC

When I came to NYC years ago with my sister Kat and my dad we went to a fish and chips place called A Salt and Battery that we all loved! Well I found it again.

If you watch the Food Network you might be familiar with the show: Throwdown with Bobby Flay. Apparently Bobby Flay challenged the guys at A Salt and Battery to a Fish and Chips Throwdown and this is the judges sheet. I'm glad others think as highly of A Salt and Battery as I do.

Being the chocolate lover that I am - I had to visit a place called Max Brenner's in NYC's East Village. Any place dedicated to chocolate is going to get an A in my book. They serve their hot chocolate in HUG mugs. They don't have a handle - so you "hug" the mug to drink it. They are really cute.

Standing by a big vat of melty chocolate goodness...

All of the different kinds of cocoa.

Being the Harry Potter fan that I am I had to pay homage to the Scholastic store.

This "pensive" contains the entire Harry Potter Collection signed by J.K. Rowling, including the first signed U.S. copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

You've just got to love parking in NYC. Here's a parking lot we passed down near China town.
Only a mere $18.00 for up to one hour!
