Where in the World Is Dad?.... Good Question.
My dad travels a lot. It's what he does. He's a traveler. Not everyone could do it - but my dad is a traveler at heart. He lives out of suit cases and hops from airplane to airplane and is gone for months at a time only coming home for a few weeks or sometimes just a day and then it's back on another airplane. He always has great stories to tell and experiences to share. (Dad you really should start writing them all down because stories like the pick - pocketing gypsies, should be documented for posterity!) Now I've traveled with my dad and it's great. He's always willing to try something new, he knows his history, he knows his languages and he knows people everywhere he goes. My sisters and I laugh because we often have conversations that go something like this: "Hey do you know where dad is? Is he in the country?"..... "Well, he called from the airplane last week when he was headed to Tibet. BUT it's been a week...so who knows where he is now."
His email from this morning is case in point:
"Greetings from Sevilla. We are just finishing more than 2 weeks in southern Spain...from Barcelona to Valencia to Granada to Ronda to Tarifa (with an excursion to Gibraltar and also across the straits to Tangiers, Marocco in North Africa.) More later... I'll send you some photos from Europe, etc. In just a couple of hours, we will go to the airport here in Sevilla to fly to Paris. I miss all of you, and I hope to see you soon! - Dad"
We love you Dad - tell those Frenchies we said hi and eat a baguette for me!
