Easter and More

Mom brought Daniel a Bug Box - so they went to look for bugs outside and couldn't find any! It must still be too cold - but really I think they're all in my house... they would have had better luck looking there.

We had a little Easter egg hunt in the house on Saturday. Daniel shoved every piece of candy in his mouth.

We had a nice Easter Sunday. I even got to really listen to the talks in sacrament meeting because Daniel was so good and sat in the seat the whole time playing with stickers Mom brought.

Sunday Easter Dinner: We had ham, Aunt Candace's hot mustard (can't have ham without it!), potato casserole, raspberry jello salad, brussel sprouts with crispy onions, rolls, and coconut cream pie. Most of it I could prepare in advance which made for an even nicer Easter.

Dying Easter Eggs

For the activity part of our Family Home Evening we had an egg race. Daniel was having a hard time keeping the egg in a spoon so Shannon put his egg in a whisk! It worked great and Daniel had so much fun!

Jensen Tradition: The Blowing Up of the Peeps and Dueling Peeps
When we were little my sisters and I didn't like to eat the Peeps so we started putting them in the microwave and we would see how big they would get. Eventually we started dueling the peeps by putting a toothpick in each of them and then we would watch them get bigger in the microwave and see which one punctured the other first with the toothpick. Crazy I know - but it's tradition...and oddly so much fun.

Oh Yum, you really need to post the recipes for the spicy mustard and the brussel sprouts.

I love your family traditions. It also looks like you had a great Easter.

I love the dueling Peeps, that's hilarious!!! I'll have to try that next year, I don't like them, so that is a great alternative.

That pizza looks tasty, you'll have to post the recipe for those too!

What a fun Easter, fun time with grandma, and fun tradition. I love the Peeps dueling! I don't like them much either, so that is a great idea!
