Busy Saturday
We had a fun Saturday. Here are a few highlights:
Our ward had an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday. Daniel was SO excited. He had his basket ready and everything. There were thousands of eggs all over the lawn - you could hardly walk without stepping on one. However, by the time they started the hunt Daniel was already enjoying the swings too much - and could not be convinced to go look for an egg. Oh well. He still had a fun time.
Next we went to a birthday party for a friend of Daniel's. He had a blast. They had it at the Darien Nature Center. They showed the kids all kinds of animals, had cake, colored, etc. Daniel had a blast - especially with all of the animals! He touched them all. Here he is with a bird on his head.
Daniel and the rat - which he calls Ratatouille. He gave it a kiss right on the nose. It may have been his favorite out of the bunch because he kept talking about "Ratatouille" all the way home. The lady from the Nature Center said they make really great pets - but I don't know if I could have a rat as a pet - it just seems wrong. Especially living near NYC where you see them scurrying around everywhere all beady eyed and as big as a house. I must admit though this rat was cuter than your average subway rat.
That evening Shannon suggested we get some sushi to take home for dinner. Yippee! - I wasn't going to argue - I love sushi! We went on a date a couple of weeks ago and had sushi and ever since I have been craving it even more. Shannon had a tuna roll but since I think they advise pregnant people against eating raw fish - I stuck with a California roll and a Shrimp Tempura roll (which was sooo good)!
