What Have I Been Cooking?

I love cooking. I love trying new food and experimenting with new recipes. It's a creative outlet for me and I love any excuse to get in the kitchen. Here are a few things I have made in the past couple of months:

Fresh Fruit and Almond Tart

Wheat Berry Salad with Lemon and Dried Cherries

White Pizzas with Arugula: So, good my mouth is just watering thinking about it!

Open Face Steak Sandwiches with guacamole

My new favorite summer salad: Watermelon and Feta Salad (the lemon juice on the watermelon and feta is so good!) Usually I toss it with some arugula -because I really like arugula if you can't tell- but here I just added a little green with parsley.

Yummy Yellow cake with Vanilla Butter cream

Three layer yellow cake with strawberry butter cream filling inside and vanilla butter cream on the outside: Made for a friends birthday

Triple Chocolate Cake: I made for a baby shower

Fresh Apple Tarts: I made for a baby shower

One of my favorites: My moms Almond Rice Pudding with Raspberry Sauce: I also made for a baby shower

Spicy Szechuan Noodles

Pesto: I had it in Italy served with green beans and potatoes so I often add one or both of those things.

My sisters and I all love to cook. While Kathryn was here visiting we made Thai food one night: Mu Pad King

Pad Woon Sen

Nue Gra Pao (Stir Fried Beef with Mint) served with rice

Caesar Club Sandwich

My sister and I have experimented with Floating Islands:
Floating Islands with Ricotta Cream and Apricots poached in a Vanilla Syrup

Also while my sister was here: Seared Scallops - Kathryn made these

Talapia with Arugula, Tomatoes, and Capers

Seriously, when are you opening your own restaurant? I still think about that rice pudding w/raspberry sauce that you made for Monica's shower. It was out of control good.

I was going to put the exact same this as Jennifer, when are you opening your own restaurant. Not only do those dishes sound good but your presentation is perfect! AMAZING!!! Or, if you won't open a restaurant, will you open a cooking school? I'll come up there to attend :)

How do you stay so skinny and eat such yummy foods? I would love to get some of the salad recipes. The watermelon on sounds interesting.

Just Stop! You're making me look like a bad wife. Poor Jason gets enchilada's often and grilled chicken. Shannon is eating like a king!

PLEASE make a cookbook. OR post your recipes on your cooking blog so Jason and I can eat as well as you guys.

Seriously, your going to be my chef someday :)

OK...so...why don't we live close to each other again???

I wish I would have gotten the "I love to cook" gene. Because, man, I sure do love to eat good food-- and this all looks WAY too yummy! Please post recipes soon! VERY soon!
