Labor Day

We didn't have any big plans for Labor Day and we didn't decide until Monday exactly what we were going to do - but we decided it would be nice to take Daniel to the beach since the only beach he has been to this summer was in North Carolina. We wanted to go somewhere free and pretty close since we weren't sure how long Daniel would last. Shannon found a place online called Silver Sands Beach in Milford, CT and it turned out great. It wasn't crowded and it was perfect for Daniel. I will say coming from NC I have found all of the beaches here to be a little lacking but that's just a North Carolina girl talking. But Connecticut's coast is along the Long Island Sound instead of the Atlantic Ocean, which makes a big difference. But in any case, it was still a great day and Daniel had a blast playing in the sand and putting his toes in the water.

Daddy and Daniel taking a walk. Daniel especially loved chasing after the birds.

Daniel holding up some sort of gross looking water-plant that he found. He's such a boy.

Look at that belly!

I thought his little footprints in the sand were so cute.

He loved to lay on these rocks and kick his feet and say "wimming!" Of course he didn't want to swim in the water - but he loved to pretend on the rocks.

My boys.

Every time I see Daniel, I always try to figure out exactly who he looks like. He is so cute - I love his mischievous little grin.
