A few weeks ago I taught a Joy School lesson about the Forest/Camping. Here are a few pictures with the cute kids. The first day we talked about the forest and the second day we pretended like we were going camping in the forest.

We made binoculars so that we could explore outside.

Doing tree rubbings

What do you see?

For a snack they had trail mix - a.k.a a mixture of whatever snacks were in my pantry.

Camping in the "forest": This was our forest in my house.
They are sitting outside their tent making a fire out of cardboard logs and orange tissue paper.

We packed backpacks with things they would need to go "camping."

Manda- you have the cutest ideas EVER! Where do you get them?? Or, do you just come up with them? I want to do a Joy type school thing with James, too and will soon be needing some ideas. How old was Daniel when you started???
