A Date with Mommy
Daniel has had a bit of a rough time adjusting since Nora's been born. I'm sure it's hard learning to share your mom and dad with another sibling and not being the center of attention anymore. So, I decided Daniel and I needed some special one-on-one time. I told Daniel that we were going on a date...just mommy and Daniel. First of all he thought the word "date" was funny. Then he looked a little confused and said "And Nora?" so I said "No, not Nora. Just mommy and Daniel!" You could just see the wheels turning in his head as he processed the idea. It was nice to have some time with just the two of us. Our date consisted of pizza (Daniel's request), cupcakes at a cool bakery called Crumbs and a trip to the library. It was perfect. What a sweet little guy I've got!

I am glad you and Daniel got to spend some time together just the two of you. I bet he loved it. I am going to have to try out that bakery, it looks delicious!
what a great idea! I bet Daniel was in heaven. I'm going to have to do that with my kiddos sometime.
I love hearing parents going on dates with their children. Lets hope this helps daniel treating NOra a little sweeter.
I love this idea. We were good at it at the beginning, but have kind of let it slip. Definately something to start up again! And you'll have to tell me where that bakery is!!

I love your pics. you look like a model. My parents took us on mommy and daddy dates. I still remember some of them. Its a tradition we want to keep foing forever.
You know how to have fun!
Tanner and I did at date night, and I am not sure what he expected, but I didn't quite reach the expectations. After going out to eat, playing in the playarea he loves at the mall, and getting frozen yogurt we got home and Skyler asked him "Did you go on a date with Mommy?" Tanner said "No we just went to the Mall."
I love the top picture of the two of you.
Keep it up - before you know you'll be taking a 16 year old son out on a date and it will be even better!!
