Birthday
Yesterday was my birthday. Last year we were in the hospital with Daniel for his urinary infection on my birthday (bad memories)- so this year was bound to be better. Gratefully it was! Daniel sang me the happy birthday song all morning which he sings like this: "birthday to you, birthday to you, birthday to you..." over and over and over - sometimes with a big finish - making the "you" extra loud and drawn out. He also picked some flowers for me out of the yard - what a sweetie.My friend Lillian watched Daniel for us all afternoon and evening (I can't thank her enough) so that I could meet Shannon in the city for dinner and a show. It was so wonderful to get out! We went to dinner at a little Italian place called Cara Mia and then we went to see Mary Poppins on Broadway! It's times like these that make me glad we live so close to NYC.
